Taco would bog out bad when trying to accelerate pass 40-45mph. I assumed it was the spark plugs and wire set, so I bought new wires and Spark plugs and the taco would pass 40 mph without it bogging out but it just didn’t feel right, there seemed to be some power loss.. one day I drove it and noticed that the power of the truck felt different so I seafoamed the taco and warmed her up for bout 30-50 minutes, then took her out to test it. Car ran fine and it seemed like the power all of a sudden came back. On my way home from work this evening it didn’t feel right, wasn’t responsive as earlier and felt like there was loss of power.. The first time I used the sea foam method i poured some into my gas tank, and into one of the vacuum lines to my stock intake manifold, and like I said again I warmed her up and took her out n she ran fine. Now it’s acting up again.. what should I do next? Should I seafoam her again?

Is it throwing any codes? How did the plugs look when you pulled them?

Wire set was okay! Number 4 spark plug was bad when I pulled it out and there was a crack on the 4th wire so that’s why I changed it..

Just seafoamed the Tacoma again and let her idle out some smoke, took her for a spin and the power is back, very responsive when accelerating too

Do you have a check engine light or have you plugged in an obd reader? Are you in Saipan or Tinian?

I do have a check engine light on because the previous owner took out the o2 sensor on the bottom of my car for the headers, didn’t try the OBD2 reader yet.. was going to get it checked at some auto store but I wanted to ask y’all for some info first! I seafoamed it again and it seems to be running fine.. but I know the problem will eventually come back in a hot minute. Could it be my fuel injectors?? I’m from saipan but currently residing in Kentucky!

Right on. I'm from Saipan too. Take pictures of your header set up and exhaust. A lack of o2 sensor(s) could be part of the problem. I recently changed upstream AF sensor, downstream o2 sensor, all 6 plugs, air filter and found a place that sells BG 44K fuel treatment which is way better than seafoam. Doing all of that cleared my CEL for the 0420 code and it runs better than I thought it could. Bro I'd start off getting your codes read before you throw parts at the truck without knowing the real problems.

I agree with you too. I’ll get to that ASAP! But my taco could use some new fuel Injector and a fuel filter and pump. Old owner never replaced them
