Loss of RPM/power under boost

So I have just experienced a strange occurrence under boost. I have the TRD supercharger, URD Y-pipe, and TRD CAT back. Boosting through the gears goes well and as usual until I get to cruising speed around 70-80mph in 5th or 6th gear. At this point, when I punch it the RPMs rise smoothly until around 3500, where I get a drop in RPM, and a lag. Its almost like my truck can't keep up and has to take a deep breath before boosting along as usual.

Any ideas whats going on here? Fuel pump not keeping up?

 

Dirty air filter or yea could be the fuel pump sending the engine in to limp mode. Do you have a wideband to monitor your air/fuel? I would say get one to check that and see what it says during your lag

 

Any check engine light?

Like Volcom asked, do you have any gauges to see what is going on?

Do you have any vacuum leaks?

 

No gauges yet. And no check engine light. The truck and charger are less than a year old...

 

No strange new noises?

Spray around where vacuum lines attach and make sure you have no vacuum leaks.

Which year model is your truck?

 

Had some leaves up against my air filter. Interesting how much that effected performance.

 

not jack the thread but how do you like the exhaust setup. i wanna get the urd y pipe soon

 

It's awesome. While expensive, the URD pipe getting rid of 2 CATs is money for the SC, and it tones the exhaust nicely. It gives it a nice rumble.
