I recently lost power to several functions after hitting a bump on the highway. On a bumpy stretch of road, I hit one bump and both radio and clock flickered. On the second bump they both lost power entirely.

My radio, door locks and my dash clock have no power. Windows won't operate in 'acc' mode but only when the truck is running. The trip odometer resets itself to 0.0 every time I turn the truck off.

Doesn't seem like a blown fuse since it happened with the bump, seems like I managed to loosen an electrical connection somewhere. I took apart the dash to check/redo all of the connections for the stereo head unit I just installed. Those are all fine.

Where else should I just? What else could be causing this?

    Thanks for the help.

    Ben

battery cables? I had some issues on my 95 toyota that every time I had my lights on and turned on the wipers the lights would dim especially hitting bumps...all the wiring looked good...I started pulling on the battery wires and something wasnt making a ground or something but it finally cleared.

It is possible when you changed the head unit you disturbed a connector that you did realize, check all connectors. been there done that.

@wilcam47 I've checked the battery cables coming off of the battery itself. Is there anywhere else I should be looking for these? The truckstarts and does everything else battery-related just fine.
