    Hey @lit_taco4x4,

I'm happy to hear that your lighting setup fits your needs! To add some extra light in the back of the truck, I recommend having a dome light in the camper. As this has a push button on it, it's a quick and sleek option for when you need extra light while unpacking or packing up at night. Another option is our S1/S2 in a wide/corning or work scene lens. If you have these mounted on the outside of the camper, these will help defuse the light to create a well-working area/cooking light. If you have any questions or would like to get a quote started, please feel free to shoot me an email at bill@bajadesigns.com

    Best,
    Bill

When did you add the 39s? I thought you were on 35s when we ran into you at Rubicon?

Thank you! I hope to help people along their journey on their build. Mind you this is not meant for go fast. More of a camp/bug out rig with the goal of being able to go to remote places and see scenic views typically more than an average overlander can handle.

I just got it 3 months ago. I was on 37’s at the rubicon last summer but the BFG’s do run small and is probably more like 36.4-3” at best. These are probably more of the same 38.3-4” at best.

When the modified tundra steering rack was installed years ago, the 934 CV axles were rubbing on the rack. It eventually went away. However, after removing the steering rack to reseal it, I ended up making contact again. Ricardo helped me out with a solution by adding spacers between the bung and the rack. All gravy now.

Alucab LT-50 came down today. Tried to fit @MT AYON ’s Yakima bars using the Wheel Every Weekend security mounts but it failed. The Yakima mounting feet were in the way of the WEW mount where the tracks under the RTT sat. The Alu-cab RTT mount should work. Good thing the Yakima bars have slots on top of them.

Mounted the Baja Designs chase lights on a Prinsu bar mounted on top of the RLD topper.

    Hey @lit_taco4x4,

The S2 on the prinsu looks rad! How do you like the work/scenes lens as your chase light?

Hey Bill, thanks for checking in. It’s awesome, I’ve used it a handful of times and super necessary especially if you’re a lead in a dusty road. BD ftw!

Put chromoly tie rods on and put on proper clamps on the boots. Very minimal rubbing now on full lock. The new chromoly rods are thinner by the jam nut part compared to JD fab’s billet tie rod which causes all the rubbing on the shocks. Not done though, gonna add custom shock towers to make more room and clearance. Anywho, here’s how it looks.

Put new spherical bearings on the longer shock rod ends. Also added a new straight bolt to go with the lower shock mount. Notice how it’s not tapered. It’s straight and also won’t rust. That should prevent caked up dirt/mud/gunk from getting in which causes most King Shock bearings to clap out.

@Ricardo13x going ham on these JD fab shock towers. This new shock tower is not only beefier but it moves up the shocks 2 inches up. All you do is add the longer rod ends (by 2 inches) and good to go!

Finished the night off with a bang on these thick 1/4” diff arm gussets from Coastal Offroad. Having the welds taco front diff reinforcement and the JD fab 934 CV’s mean the next to grenade are the diff arms or the ADD axle tube (I just carry a spare). So now only one weak point when locked in the front!
