This was a thread resurrection from January. Is this really happening again? I haven't seen any communication from DTV about this issue.

btw Sunday ticket is still doing to blackout games that normally air on your local channels. They have to since you could, technically, do the OTA thing and 'get' the game.

Don't you guys have CenturyLink up there? They are very competitively priced down here.

This is going to sting, but I love my cable provider (except a signal issue here and there when they are doing work on the line). I pay $120.07/mo for Digital Cable w/one HD DVR box and one HD non-DVR box, plus their fastest Internet connection (40Mbps download, 5Mbps upload).

I would look at another provider aside from Crapcast, everybody I know that has them hates them.

Yea its really happening again. I was watching Sons of Anarchy last night when they cut to a segment from the director telling all the viewers on DirecTV that they will miss the last 5 episodes as DirecTV is dropping FX among other channels as well.

Was on it last night and this morning. It's flooded...can't get my message thru. HEAVY TRAFFIC

Probably good because my message was rated TVMA and made the language on SONS look like sesame street.

Century Link - I been hearing bout them lately but couldn't really get enough info on them. I was swayed to Directv because Crapcast added "more" HD channels (all but VELOCITY were worthless) so they upped the bill an extra $30!! I had no idea they were doing this (no communication whatsoever) until I looked at my Comcast account online to make sure they cancelled me and there it was.......from $156 month to $183 ish....I was glad I switched.

For the 2 weeks i've had Directv , i've been extremely happy but to just "DROP" these channels like it's nothing is fucking bullllshitttt

Mine one of looked the same. I thought about calling DirecTV directly and voicing my opinion on the situation and give them a heads up that I will be switching the day they drop them. But I thought that wouldnt matter and why hassle the customer service rep for my satisfaction as it would ultimately not change anything. Bottom line is DirecTV better get it in gear and get this resolved or I am sure it's not just me that will jump ship! Oh shit would you look at that...man overboard!!

Honestly, I'm not quite sure how their TV service is, but it's a pretty neat deal.

    Check 'em out

Haven't noticed if it was gone yet but saw some scrolling messages while I watched the RedWings game on FSNDET that it was going away. Another season where I can't watch my hockey. We're also losing SPEED I beleive along with the FX which somebody mentioned.

    It's Horseshit!

My brother has actually ditched broadcast television and uses his Apple TV/iPad 2 and just watches everything on Hulu a week after it airs.

He enjoys it and it saves him around $100/mo.

Tell them that when you signed up you were in the understanding that you'd be getting those channels and now only XXXX months into your contract you're losing it.

Nowadays, you can get a DVR setup that can record up to 12 shows at once, if you have enough DVR's!

I live in a large one bedroom apartment...needless to say, I have no need for it. :D
