Two springs back I installed a Kenwood DDX470, and just a couple months back I lost signal in the back. I assumed it was the factory speakers crapping out, but just this evening after installing a new pair of aftermarket Kenwoods there is still no signal.

Is there a common occurrence of the leads shorting?

How major of an undertaking would it be to just run new leads?
