Did you run the antenna wire for your CB through the bed?

Nope, there is a grommet at the back of the main cab, pulled that ran wire in as it falls into a small cubby area. Once you get that done, had to remove back area behind the seat so that I could access the lower area, actually had to cut a hole to get the antenna wire out. That is the part you quoted showing where I run the wire through.

What about from where the antenna is mounted? Did you drop it downward through the bed to the frame then go in through the back of the cab or did you go horizontally through inside of the bedside towards the back of the cab?

I'm thinking I'm going to run the wire under the black cap on the top of the bedside, down behind the tail light to the frame then through the grommet under the passenger seat. I went through that one for my rock lights, I should be able to shove one more wire into it.

Oh, I already used my stimulus on Dakars/Timbrens/iLX-W650. :p

My 2nd job is paying me weekly after getting a PPP loan, so lots of extra funds are gonna roll in.

Well been working on the truck a little bit, was able to pick up a bedbug. I know this is not a must install for most but I have a trailer for most of my hauling so its more about comfort for me when getting in and out, and they do clean up easy.

Pic of truck bed cleaned up and items removed.

    Bottom piece installed

Ok, so most 3rd gen don't have the rail across the front. I picked this up from sometime ago and its been in the truck, but had to remove it as the edging part of the carpet goes all the way to the top. Since the carpet is just normally held by velcro I just drilled some holes in it so the rail could mount over the top, put some velcro down low to secure it against the wall.

Rail installed and corner mounts installed. Still need to install the front hooks and I have a rotopax gas container that I am going to install as well. Need to work on rear end part as I have bed stiffeners so will need to make holes for them secure in place.

    IMG_5982.jpg

Well this is as far as I have gotten, will post more pics as I get more installed, may work on it today.

Looks good. I have one of these and have never installed it. Was it bad to install?
