I recently installed a 3 inch lift. Icon coilover in the the front with TC Uca's. The rear had the tsb done along with a wheeler add a leaf. The rear shocks are Bilstein 5100's.

The truck is a 2010 with only 400 miles on the odometer. When we went offroading, I would hear a really loud bank or clunk coming from the rear, like the bumpstop was hitting. Is this normal? I also notice that when I put on the new bilstein shocks in the rear. They were the same length as my stock trd ones. Any help would be appreciated. I tried searching on the forums but nothing came up, only front end bang or clunk. Thanks

You've gotta give us a lot more information before we can give you any clues....

Have you looked underneath the truck yet? If not - then get back there and look around. Look for anything out of the ordinary, something coming loose, things hanging that weren't hanging before, etc.

Are you still able to drive the truck? If yes, does it make any noises while you drive it on the street?

A loud bang could be anything..... If you're lucky, it could be just the sound of the shocks bottoming out while you're offroading. If you're not so lucky, that could be the sound of your diff blowing apart.

I'm certainly no expert at lifting trucks, but I remember reading that you needed a different rear bilstein for a lifted truck. Model 5150. Same shock as 5100 but longer. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

Had tons on the old Taco's.... new Tundra is pretty stock
I think the sound you're talking about is the 5100's 'topping' out. They basically reach the end of their down travel before the rest of the suspension causing them to stop the droop with an audible thud or bang. My 5100's did it until I extended them with the toytec extender kit.
