My tacoma immediately makes a metal on metal noise along with a squeak when I start driving. It gets faster and louder as I drive faster . It does not get worse when I turn either way. The brakes feel fine no play. There is minor play in the cv axles. Please help! Ahaha

Little curious why it is funny... but anyways wheel bearings, driveshaft u joints, rock in your brakes or completely worn brakes, cvs, center carrier bearing, are all possible... I would start with greasing u joints and checking your wheel bearings.

Already greased the u joints, brakes are brand new and the rotors are still fine. There is a little play In the wheels when I jacked it up and tried moving it. I will look into the other two things thank you very much!

No problem, there should be no play in the wheels at all when jacked up , and if the sound is that bad you should be able to here it by jacking up the truck and spinning the wheels with your hands and listen.

One of these can be very valuable in situations like this and for 4$ its a no brainer to have in the garage:

So I jacked up the truck and there is no play in the wheels, also I spun them both directions and you could barely hear a minor noise. Im trying to attach the video of the noise but itt won’t let me.

I would try putting it on jack stands in the rear and put in gear (obviously have to be careful doing this) and see if you can hear it then.

And is it definitely coming from front end?

I did not, I just watched a video of that noise and it sounds exactly like it. Yes it does sound like it is coming from the front end .

Turned out to be the driver side wheel hub . Replaced it and the sound is now gone !

Glad you solved your issue. Now I know what a bad wheel bearing sounds like :)
