Drove from FL to SC last night on i95. Was passing a car hauler which on the right most lane and i moved over to the far left lane on a 3 lane section. The car hauler looked like it was about to lose control which prompted me to avoid it. As was directly parallel i heard a loud noise and felt like i hit something. I thought one of the front driverside tires blew on the truck and the explosion directed some pressure towards the right side of my truck. I looked behind me and didnt see any wreck however the car behind me passed me on the right as if it wad trying to suddenly avoid me. I pulled in the nearest gas station and assessed the truck for any damage. I could not find anything. It looked like nothing happened. So i continue my drive and my tire pressure sensor came on. Pulled over again to check tires but tires look good. After i reached my destination, i noticed front passenger tire looks a bit low on air. I checked for nails I have nitrogen in them and never had a warning light for 25k miles. All of a sudden this?

    Put air in your tire.

    Reset the light.

    It's a tire.

    Fill it. Reset the light.

See what happens in the following week.

Just because you don't see a nail, screw, etc. doesn't mean you didn't puncture the tire somehow or that something small isn't in the tire causing it to leak air. Check the PSI and put more air in, if it goes down again then you've confirmed a leak...take it in to a tire shop to see if it can be repaired.

If a tire blew on an 18 wheel truck next to you, you would know it. Sounds and feels like a 105 firing a blank.

As far as your tire, do what the others mention. Fill it, reset the light, double check later. You'll find the leak which you can either patch yourself or have the shop take care of it.

I recommend moving that tire to a rear axle as it can be less catastrophic if it suddenly fails.

Probably ran over an "alligator" from a blown re-tread on the big rig.
I've seen serious damage caused by them.

I have 81k miles and I've never had the tpms light come on. I run good ol air. Check your damn air pressure every now and then. If it's low on air. You have a leak. Simple. If all 4 tires are equally low your lazy.

could have been a board with a screw in it

as others have said, top the tire off with air, reset the light, and keep an eye on it

What the shit is "synthetic nitrogen", sounds like the dealer was caught red handed with "blinker fluid" and needed another quick way to make a few bucks.

I hit a bucket going down the 163 in San Diego last year and was freaking out because I heard something dragging later that day, thought it really messed my shit up....got under there and saw it was the metal handle of the bucket dragging underneath me lol, if you're concerned you could pop it off for a more thorough inspection

Yeah but he paid for it more than likely. 75% nitrogen. 20% oxygen. 3% helium. Other misc gases
