I just started noticing this, when I have my foot on the brakes, I can not turn the steering wheel to full lock. I have to let of of the brakes in order to do so.

You can see in the video how when you turn, the whole front end moves downwards and there is loud popping while turning to full lock. Once releasing the break the front comes back up and I can turn the wheel all the way.
    Help?

Just have someone turn the wheel for you (wife/gf/friend) and you get under there to look. Sounds like something is contacting. It isn't right that your undercarriage is shifting down when you turn & that you can't fully lock out your wheels.

I'd start there, but maybe someone else can chime in that might have experience with this issue..

It only does it when I have my foot on the brakes and it takes effort to turn the wheel towards full lock. It's fine without pressing the brakes though, when inlet off that's when it pops back up.

Could lower ball joints cause this?

I used to work at a tire shop way back in the days and it sounds very similar to the sound of the lugs nuts not seated properly due to incorrect size.

Mind sounded the same. Could be lower control arm bushings. I soaked mine in lubricant and went away a few hours later. I had that noise for over two months.

Thanks for the input! I highly doubt that it's the lugs though, they are all torqued down from when I had the tires rotated. Plus it is directly associated with me holding the brakes.

Thanks for the suggestion, but I believe the noise is coming directly from the brakes.

No problem. Mine was bushings tho. I would say give it a shot. Wont hurt just to spray some lubricant.

Since your suspension has a bit of caster built-in and the Amer. Racing wheels are negative offset, there will always be some force-fight when you steer while applying brakes. If the rack and ball joints are in good condition, the forces are absorbed by the tires.

I think if the rack or ball joints are bad, the truck would exhibit symptoms like yours. If you are not getting leaks in the rack, the ball joints are more likely to be suspect. Lift your truck up by the frame. Check both upper- and lower ball joints for play and binding. To check for play, carefully insert a pry bar between the control arm and spindle, apply a little prying force in attempt to separate the two:
