I was wondering what’s the cheapest way to make my truck louder? I haven’t modified the exhaust in any way. Will doing this void the warranty on the truck or affect MPG?

Just unbolt and remove your exhaust and then bolt it back on if you have to go back to the dealer for warranty. Should be plenty loud! Costs you nothing!

Is there a video I can watch on how to do this?

On a serious note, almost any aftermarket exhaust will be louder. Toyota did the best they could to keep the 3G quiet. Magnaflow seems popular, though some complain about drone on the highway.

I hate to quote the “magnussen moss” ruling, but they could only legally void your warranty if they could prove your new exhaust caused the issue needing repair.

You said inexpensive, but the Toyota TRD exhaust is supposed to be louder and is an “approved” part.

If you want to be obnoxious why not just buy a Harley?

Bad dog, bad. Harley has a sweet rumble sound, it’s the rice burner whine that’s obnoxious.

TRD exhaust. I have it and it sounds perfect, my Son had a Flowmaster 50 series and thats a little louder, very smooth and deepsounding. Neither one has any drone.

No need to to unbolt the exhaust. Simply cut it off as close to the exhaust manifold as you possibly can. It’s not custome if you unbolt. You lose a lot of bro points

Some people in my area were arrested recently for making peoples exhaust louder, I guess the people didn’t like it being loud and reported them. They didn’t get paid and tried to sell the part they cut off which is a no-no. I assume if you cut part of it off yourself there’s no offense.

I have a Flowmaster 40 on my F250 and it's loud and sounds great, but the drone gives me a headache if I have to drive 60+ for more than 30 minutes.

Unfortunately, you're never going to get the V8 rumble/grumble out of these trucks.

Remove the exhaust from the cat back. Don't lose the hardware, as you'll want it back on after a mile or so.

Apparently Tuesday is the new Friday.

As in crawl under the truck and look it over. If you can't figure it out, leave it alone.

There can't be much warranty left on a 2017? It's 5 model years old. But the suave for your worry is to leave the truck alone.

How long has it been since your Dad let you start using it?

No one has ever had a problem with open headers. Just let those exhaust manifolds sing

I guess you cut the exhaust after the cats and pipe it up to the side of your drivers side door window. That should be much louder sounding.
