Lake Charles on Monday and Baton Rouge on Tuesday took heavy flooding. Supposed to be more of the same today. Headed north to Tulsa, so may have to bite some of it along the path. Might be able to fit the crawfish pirogue as “Plan B”…

No paddling necessary, but found heavily soaked land all along the route. Bad rain around Baton Rouge and near Shreveport. Ominous clouds entering Oklahoma (Cherokee), but just light rain.

We are on vacation at Disney World and a neighbor sent me a quick picture from a couple of days ago. The rain fall has been tremendous.

About 4 weeks ago, the state completed a 2 year project with a pumping station. This was to help other areas, to the north and west, get some relief from flood waters in the event of a hurricane, etc. Since this pumping station has been activated, neighbors at the back of our subdivision have come within 2” of water entering their house. The water level in the picture is 3 feet higher than normal. Our parish officials have said that the pumping station has had nothing to do with the recent problems. WTF?

Learning to enjoy the tedium that is soldering wiring harnesses. I only have another 24 solder joints ahead of me to build this T harness for the 4 channel, then rip out half the interior to install everything. But the sound will justify it in the end.

Sound improvements are almost always worth it. Soldering sessions = f uuun.

I think I've seen your truck! I rarely see PreRunners around NOLA, and only one the color in your thumbnail. WhoDat! (Hope this doesn't seem creepy)

I’m actually up on the Northshore, not creepy at all. I didn’t go out looking for a Pyrite Mica truck when I was shopping used 2015’s but I’m happy to have found it and it’s quickly become my favorite color.

Also nice that it hides dirt and dust. Every camping trip she gets filthy.

You can't miss my bearded SR access cab with the HUGE (but not-yet-complete) headache rack. I'm in mid-city.

I’m an evacuee… When everyone says “get out” I listen.
    Stay safe everyone!
