Hey guys, I've had my 02 TRD Prerunner for a little over a year now and I think it's great. I like it so much, I'd like to upgrade to a nicer one. See, mine was someone's daily work truck and has all the dents and scratches to prove it. I've done the math and for the price of paint and body work, I could sell mine and buy a clean lower miles truck in the 02-04 range.

Problem is finding another black extra cab prerunner with the locker. Talk about a needle in a hay stack. I have seen a couple 4x4s and I'm thinking about one of those. Is there any downside to the 4x4 compared to the prerunner? Any difference in gas mileage, reliability? Also, how much of a hassle would it be to swap my rear end to a new truck? I'm not worried about the mechanical part, that's easy enough, but how about the wiring harness? Has anyone on here pulled a wiring harness from a truck?

    Thanks guys
    Will

Do all most of the 4x4s have the E-locker or is it still an option that has to be ordered?

IIRC The locker was part of the TRD package on my 02' 4x4.

Well, I picked up another one. 02 Prerunner, TRD, SR5 60,000 miles. My old one is also a limited, the only difference I see is the painted fender flares on my limited.
