I was seriously considering the LTX AT2 but money was a bit of an issue and I got the Hankook Dynapro ATMs instead. 1,000 miles on the tires so far and they're fantastic. Saved roughly $200 going with them over the Michelins too.

You can trade in old tires? I guess I've never asked for a trade in value.. I just assumed they'd just get trashed. I feel stupid now lol. How much did you get for them?

Yep. Love them for a daily driver, the tread pattern is mild for an AT. I am averaging 19-20 mpg mixed driving (V6 man). I've put about 5k on them. I have not had them in snow or dirt yet. Rain handling is superior (rain? what rain?). I've been too busy upgrading the suspension, but am headed to the Sierras very soon. I've heard many stories of them lasting 80K and longer. The initial cost is largely offset by their long-term durability. These are stock size (265/70-16). And I think they look good.

I had Gen1 Michelin AT's and now have the Gen2.
    Great tire, smooth, quiet.
Does not track that well on the highway, but far from a problem.
Off-road, wet and snow traction is outstanding.
Not a mudder, but I don't have that much mud where I live.
    Great tire.
    Michelin owns the LT market.

Got $200.00 (trade in) for my OEM BFGs with 12,500 miles on them and still got a good deal on the tires.

Rear Leaf Spring TSB, Metra IPod Adapter, AFE Pro Dry S Air Filter, I was added to the truck to make it better, so does that count as a Mod?
I just got some of the LTX M/S2's. What pressure do you guys run on these? I think the 29 psi on the door of the truck is a little low and I was thinking of bumping them up to 32. I saw Chris4x4's thread on drawing the chalk line but havent gotten around to doing that yet. Thoughts?

I run 34-36 because I'm trying to mild a few extra MPG...25k and wear is very even, More than 50% tread left.
Softer would be smoother, more quiet.
If I was going off-road for a day or more, I'd let air out.
    GO BENGALS!

I've run Michlens on my other vehicles with good life performance. 50K-60K+ with avg rotation every 8K miles or so. you might pay a little more, but I've always had good results around town and hi-way driving mostly. when my stock BFG's wear out I'll give these AT's a look....thanks for the info.

    My 2010 F-150 had the LTX A/T 2's...in 18"

Awesome tires and smooth quiet ride.

I will lean heavily to them when my Dunlap's are replaced...sooner if I find a good deal on a set of replacement wheels for the steelies on my Tacoma.

Went ahead and got the AT2 even though my rugged trails only have about 16k on them. They worned out pretty quickly and I didnt feel safe with them anymore for the upcoming winter.

Sorry, just now saw this thread again. I don't remember the price, but I got a tire trade in and a great deal on the new Michelin tires and new after market wheels.

FWIW .. now have about 3,500 miles on the LTX AT2s and love them more each day. It's not often that I go on and go how great a tire is ... last time was Michelin Pilots which were great handling tires, but that soft rubber lasted no time.

These Michelin LTX AT2s are a great compromise of all the things that you want in a tire ..... low road noise, great grip in the rain, dry and snow and decent off road too ..... great combo tire.

Will do... getting them installed hopefully by Wednesday. Will let you know after hitting up a few trails and may post a review after driving in snow on Montana's un-plowed roads.

X2... just got them installed today. I got it in 265/70R16 too but it looks bigger than stock BFGs for some reason.. maybe just because it's not too dirty yet. Here are some pics:

Great design: has sipping for the snow/ice yet leaves large enough channels for mud
    [IMG]

These are way more aggressive looking in person than pics on Michelin site

Ice, snow? whats that? hahahhaa! just kidding....Michelin MS/2's the best tire out there for Taco's IMHO. Probably get 90k out of this set. Michelin's the only tire out there for the $$$.

    Cheers!
