    His point is valid. However I would add this observation : There is, without question, a lot of beautiful women in this world. It would not be hard to fall in love with another each new week. This would inevitably and necessarily decrease the depth of romantic love for any one of them... so ultimately there is no benefit in going there. It would become an insatiable waste of time.

    I agree completely... but I would add that beauty is more than skin deep, it is a way of being. There are a lot of beautiful people in the world. This is why we make conscious decisions to commit to one. It is the choice of two people to share in something sacred.

    Aldous Huxley's book Brave New World explores this very topic...
