I moded 1999 Taco so much it had turned to Land Cruiser
I think this whole discussion needs official statement from Toyota corp itself....
For those with reading comprehension problems... couple points...

Reman parts are not covered by manufacturers new part bumper to bumper warranty. Only 12 month long + unlimited mileage.
Those parts are honored in 1100 dealers, not all of them...
    Dealer is not Toyota corp.

So if it is same quality part why not 3/36 000 warranty ?
What is the plan after 12 month warranty expires, and when reman transmission gives you problems...?

    You welcome.. :D

Do you need to know, or care?
Seriously!?!? Do you think they would replace a new truck with a recon part and say "sorry, you lose 2 years on your warranty"????

Nowhere in there does it say that would be the case with a warranty replacement re-manufactured part.

That means for vehicles that are out of factory warranty and the customers is paying for the part. Get the facts together first.
    Edit
And I like how you left out the first paragraph of the link you posted.Capture+_2016-04-18-14-52-33.jpg

Oh don't ruin his fantasy of Toyota screwing people out of years worth of warranty coverage. He prefers his own version of events I'm sure

Why a transmission change for what may be an axle wrap issue.....??

    (kinda sounds like it)

As long as Toyota will stand by the work I don't see the problem with getting a reman part.

That's what I was thinking, sounds like the infamous axle wrap to me. If that's the case it's likely to still happen even with the refurb tranny

You could throw transmissions at it all day & won't change anything if that's what it is....

weak-weenied-leafsprings are the curse of most if not ALL axle wrap issues, has been since at least 1998 (1st gen tacomas) to present...Stiffen those legs up & the ass end starts behaving ...

My favorite was his remark about those with reading comprehension issues when he clearly didn't comprehend his own reference material lol
