The rear mat in the double cab sure looks identical to the 2005-2015 mat. I wish I could transfer this to my future 2017 Tacoma?

Raptor 4" oval rails, OEM door sill protectors, totally debadged, OEM mud guards, OEM bed mat, OEM S/S tail pipe extension, BDT tailgate letters, Weather Tech sun screen.
I got the Weather Tech "liners" but also got the OEM mud guards (flaps) same price as the WT mud guards. Easy install, well made (IMO), and fit perfect.

tell me more about the mud flaps.
My old truck came with some small flaps (not a Tacoma) so I never really gave it much thought.
How important is it to have them on my 2016 Off Road?

I would think (and this is just my opinion) that they would be very important if you off-road. My OEM guards are heavy duty and fit perfect. The mud guards along with the Raptor 4" ovals, keep most everything off the side of my DC especially when it is raining and the roads are dirty. Also, this combo eliminates (or greatly reduces) stone chips on the lower panels. I'm sure these came on your 16' Off Road but you must have the over-fenders to use the OEM mud guards...not sure about the Weather Tech units.

Looks great! I ended up selling mine after Toyota released their new oem liners/mats. I prefer the softer rubbery feel as it rains a crap ton here in WA. The weathertechs look much cleaner IMO but they were a bit too slippery for my liking.

Looks nice! Thank you for posting this. I was debating between the Husky and WT and I think I prefer the WT over the Husky.

What's wrong with the toyota all weather mats? I was planning on buying a set friday? I've got weather tech mats in the 4runner and had them in my ram. Nice mats, just didn't like how slippery they get when they are wet. Not a big deal, but my Ram sat up pretty high. Jumping in got tricky when they where wet.

TRD Pro 17"x7" rims / Terra Grappler G2 tires (265/70/17), 35% tint. Part # on the rims is PTR20-35110-BK. Bought them at Olathe Toyota (Kansas). The website is: http://parts.olathetoyota.com/oe-toyota/ptr2035110bk
The Toyota OEM All Weather mats seem very flimsy to me and the WT seem to cover more....protection from salt on the carpet, etc...I'm selling my OEM mats on eBay...$99

New toyota all weather liners go over the sides and cover the dead pedal. The rear is also one piece now.

Be careful of long hard plastic mud flaps such as the OEM versions. They tend to tear off on rocks, dirt and such. I've seen some guys trim them down on 2nd gens which helped but doesn't eliminate the possibility of damage. I took mine off and had them deleted from my new build

Yeah that would piss me off. Easily fixed with a heat gun, but for the price it shouldn't need to be done

Search forum for Plasticolor... these flaps are true floppy rubber flaps, cost a fraction of the OEM and Weathertech, look great and fit with OEM screws on the truck. They resemble the old school 1st gen mud flaps and fit the width of the stock tires. There are other floppy flaps like the RokBlokz and Rally Armor but they are wider and have logos on them that look like something from an energy drink can. That said the RokBlok and RallyArmor might be the ticket if you plan to run wider oversized tires. Otherwise I'd go with plasticolor. The stiff OEM and WeatherTech Flaps are good only if you plan to stay on the streets and don't drive in heavy snow or frozen slush. The Stiff Flaps will rip off easily off road, hitting a large hole full of tree roots or backing over large rocks/mud....and could damage the inside of your fender well when it happens as the screws strip out. The Floppy rubberized flaps are the way to go.

I ended up taking a hit gun like mentioned above. Worked pretty good and end up fitting like it should.

My truck came with the all weather mats. I didn't know that until I got the truck. I had already ordered the weathertech mats. I have had the WT mats on my other car and they are great. They cover a lot more area than the EOM mats. Just FYI. If you are thinking about getting the OEM mats, get the WT mats instead. You won't be sorry.
