took off my wheels which had orig stock tpms in them and replaced them with another oem set with tpms. then left the house for a good 30mins but didnt get any low air warning. grant you, my old set had low air in the tires. thought new set had to be programmed in or could my tpms system auto-paired with the trucks air monitoring system.

My Oem's took ~30 mins to warn me about low pressure when I had a flat tire a few months ago. I put on the spare, drove ~30 mins and then the light popped on.

Pretty sure new TPMS sensors need paired to the truck somehow. As for how long it takes to report low pressure, mine have always been instant. I air down my tires a lot for bumpy forest roads and sand driving. I will add though that depending on the pressure setting of the warning, you might need to drop quite a bit before it registers. Mine register below 25lbs. But that can easily be changed by resetting to your current tire pressure via the button under the steering wheel.

It'll take a while. Also the sensors shut down and don't report until they get woken up by driving for a while. Since the sensors your truck is looking for aren't waking up (they're at home in your garage) it'll take a while for the truck to realize that the sensors haven't woken up and reported lately when they probably should have. Be patient, your light is on the way!
