I have been reading posts for almost an hr now. Lots of debates. I have been running Auxbeam H11 F16 bulbs for low beams and fogs for 6 years or more. I have been happy with the light output but one low beam has stopped working. I read now Auxbeam is fairly frowned upon and perhaps led in general.
I am open to change the style of bulb.
    Recommendations please?

H9 bulbs. Philips is recommended, but any brand will be an improvement. The stickied lighting thread details how to get them to fit in your low beams (trimming of tabs on the bulbs or specific methods of finagling them into the reflector and pulling green insert from the plugs)

I use H9s from NAPA ... maybe not the most recommended but convenient for me because I do not Crapazon.

@EastVanTaco If you decide to go with H9 bulbs PM me. I have a like new (2 months old) set of H9's (made in Germany) that I will just give you. I broke the piggy bank a month ago and put in oem led headlight assemblies and I don't want to see these bulbs just sit on the shelf. Would be happy to see someone enjoy them.

minor, TRD skid plate, front recovery points, Regken mud flaps, rear diff breather, AC drain pipe extended. Upgraded sound with active sub woofer, tonneau cover, CB radio.
    My way:
Halogen bulbs burning out, loosing the light output with time.
No matter what, ONCE A YEAR (usually October-November) I spending approx $80 CAD for set of H11, (last 3 years Philips made in Germany).
    Problem solved before it shows.:thumbsup::canada:

Old metals, when you did the swap to the OEM led headlight assemblies did you or have you had any issues from the BCM?

I have been looking at the very least charging out the halogen bulbs to led bulbs for now but every single shop I talk to all say that when someone does that in either a few months or at most a year or two start having issues with the BCM either throwing codes or having parts of it burning up/out?

The 3 cars i had before my 2023 trd off road taco all had led and mine was supposed to come with the led headlights and fog lights.
I had traded in my 2019 tundra off lease as didn't want or need a full size anymore and the gas mileage was killing me.
I saw it on the dealership website and put 500 down on it.
I didn't realize it didn't have the led headlights for a few days when I went to drive at night.

Funny I just had the recall done and was in the parts department and even they said my truck had the led fog lights I can see the halogen bulbs in the fog lights.

@Spielightdude no problems as of yet. I used the FBC harness. Also researched and followed this upgrade for quite some time and don't remember reading about any BCM issues. Might just want to start a thread asking that. If you do want to go with led bulbs, pm me. I might have something for you

So I'm not going to lie to you here. I bought led high beam bulbs to try in my stock headlights. Knowing perfectly well all along it was not recommended. I never even put them in. I talked about it and the problems there could be one to many times at the dinner table and when the girlfriend had enough of listening to me she just said, "Would you please go buy what you should have bought in the first place so we can just get on with our lives!!!!!" I don't play the lottery. I've all ready won.

Time to buy her something bright-shiny-sparkly ... does not need to be an engagement ring unless you really want to.

Put H9 bulbs in while you are waiting for sales on OEM LEDs.

I replaced the stock halogen headlights a few months ago with Toyota OEM LED headlights. Was pretty easy using the adapter wiring harnesses, have had no issues at all, the headlights are actually useful now!
