    Hello fellow Tacoma Lovers!

New to the forum and in need of some help! :)

I've been fighting a problem with my low beam headlights continuously going out over the last 2 years. They go out 1 at a time and when they do, the high beams still work, but the low beams will not. The driver side and the passenger side alternate going out about every 3-4 months, while getting about 6 or so months of use per bulb.

For Ex: If I change drivers side bulb January 1st, the passenger side will go out about March, and then the drivers side will go out again about June or July, then passenger side again in Sept-Oct, and so on...

When the problem originally started, I bought a set of new bulbs to have an extra, thinking it wouldn't be long before the other went out. Sure enough, 3 months later the other side went out, so I replaced thinking I was good... WRONG! That started the 6 months\bulb and changing a headlight about every 3-4 month routine I'm currently in. I try fixing something different each time one goes out and so far those include trying different brand bulbs, made sure the headlight and bulb housing were fastened securely, replaced the connectors to the bulbs, and most recently, verified all fuses were good.

Knowing only enough to be dangerous, im running out of ideas to try and fix this. Sorry for the long post, but as you can see, there are a couple years of frustration!!! :)

    What do you guys think?

P.S. Just also discovered my parking lights are not working either.

Here's an idea. If your using regular halogen bulbs make sure you don't touch the glass with your fingers. The oil from your hands shortens the life of them. Use gloves while installing. And put replace them as a set. Not one at a time.

What do we do if that doesn't work? I've had the same problem myself. I've been wearing gloves so that I don't touch the glass and I'm still having problems with them.

Are you buying quality head lights? I know the super ultra bright halogens don't last very long. But if you buy a middle of the road they last a decent amount of time.

I've been using Sylvania. I was thinking about putting led lights in.
