Well after reading this thread I headed out to some hills right by my house with my daughters. I was hitting 25 degree pitch and 10 degree roll. Jumped out to take a pic returned and sure as shit my master light was on with low oil pressure. I kinda freaked out and rolled down the hill and it shut off. Wish I would have took a picture of the display. Anyways I hit some other 25+ hills and let it sit. Nothing. When back to the same spot, parked it and nothing. I could not get it to come up again. Went home for an hour and went back. Same hills with no avail. Makes no sense that I could not replicate. After work tomorrow I will try again and see if I can catch it with a video....here are the hills, looks like Toyota has a big problem on their hands...

It's weird because I went to the same angles rev'ed, let it sit and it did not return. I could not duplicate. Tomorrow I will do a straight up, straight up right/left, straight down and down right/left. It kicked on facing down with nose pointing left. The pic facing down was when it was on.....

Maybe each vehicle just needs to go through one of these episodes then its all better. Ares32 you may have to find another Gen3 owner that hasn't had a stalling issue to hit that same spot.

I'll be up in Denver to pick up my truck on Friday. Probably don't have time to hit your hill though.

These hills are about 2 blocks away from my house. By Buckley air force base if anyone's familiar. If it's a consistent problem my testing tomorrow should definitely let us know if it's the flat pan design causing this problem. Which is highly likely......

Wonder if these issues arose when they did the press release near Tacoma Washington. Some of those climbs were steep. I think I am going to hold off purchase until more is known.

Lol probably too many dash lights on when testing the crawl control to notice the low oil pressure light

drum brakes are no problems for me, its the front brakes that are undersized that gives me trouble when towing..

Just to be clear I had no stalling. I just parked it on the incline/decline to see if I could get the warning....

Also to note I had no CEL lights. I also did not stop the motor when the light was on. I simply drove down to flat ground and it shut off.

There is of course no point in taking your truck to the dealership but, I think it would be a good move to let your dealership know about it and probably more importantly report it directly to Toyota so that if more people have this problem the number of occurrences they have recorded is documented. If they get 3 complaints they probably aren't going to look into it. If they have 3000 complaints they might.

Did the warning go off once you reached flat ground?
