That's true too, with how overly complicated some of them make it it's obvious they want you to have to bring it in and pay for work to be done. BMW is notorious for this I hear

It used to be that guys would be ashamed if they didn't know about cars!!! Even how to do basic maintainance.
Now a lot of guys act like little flowers, and are terrified at the tbought of even looking at the engine compartment.

(No offence was intended to any plant life with this comment)

Isn't there an app for my phone to check the oil level?
I don't open my hood, there might be dirty stuff in there.

    You're kidding, right?

An App to tell you what the gas gauge days, and to tell you the oil level - which l wouldn't trust with my 6,000 engine. I'll just look at the gas gauge ( I know it works and how far i can go. l never go below 3/8 tank) and the oil dipstick. That way I'll know exactly what I have. The simpler the better in my book.
But that's just my opinion. :D

LOL exactly... and the "best way" to service your vehicle is to trade it in for a newer model when any maintenance is due. Must be something seriously wrong if you have to take it in, right? :goingcrazy:
