Well! I’m a new Tacoma owner.

I want you guys to know how much I appreciate the truck telling me it was cold outside this morning. If it wasn’t for the low outside temperature indicator, I would have never known. :D

How many engineers and decision makers at Toyota were involved in adding this very vital feature to the truck? It might be time to send a thank you letter.

    Asking for a friend. :bananadance:

Old german cars used to beep/warn when it was near freezing. This has been around since the 90s lol.

    Oh look, another mod....
And since the 1890's old Germans (the people, not the cars) used to bitch & moan when it was near freezing.

Mine tells me only once I’m in the truck, so I guess it’s too late to appreciate the function. Or maybe it can be useful when you drive a long distance and there are drastic changes between your start location and destination? Happy Friday!

What you all talking about? You get in your truck and it says, It's cold out? My truck doesn't talk, did I get ripped off?

I’ve not seen any cold warning, but it’s only reached -20F while I’ve owned the truck. Do you live in Antarctica?

i remember the first time i saw the warning. i was in my 2001 Volvo s60and it had a cold weather message on the multi-funtion display, and a snowflake in the middle of the dashboard. i was so confuse. mind you i was in Florida and i had never been close to 32. then my 2018 sonata also did it. i guess is standar

It’s a truck between 2 dotted lines top center of cluster.
Mine is a 18 not sure if they changed?

It's only a snowflake identifier. I've never seen it...

It kicks on at sub 40 degrees. It doesn’t drop below 40 in South Carolina…?

I think it's helpful to tell you if the road has ice on it.
Never dawned on me, living in Hawaii, til I was on a snowboard trip in Bend.
