Cant seem to find a definitive thread with good bedrack options. I just got a RTT and want it mounted low in the bed. Suggestions?

All-pro makes one that's pretty nice (I don't have it, but have been eying it for a while).

You can get an un-welded one so you can cut it to your liking, or they have them in 3 different heights:

Would be happy to put one together for you.

    https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/crazy-hot-fab-bed-racks.508173/

sits approximately 8” above the bed sides and 23" above the bottom of the bed, at a height that results in a RTT being flush (or just slightly below) the highest point of the roof line (center of cab), except for the ladder which sticks just slightly above.

    Holds over 500 lbs.

I would would feel more comfortable with a piece of L-bracket that goes the length of the entire bed, so that you distribute the load along the whole bed-rail, rather than just a small portion of it.

I love the idea of Avid Offroads bed bar/basket/rtt setup they have and plan to get one. Thing I like most is that the basket will hold my spare most of the time. But when I want(on the rare occasions I'll need the rtt and don't wanna have it loaded/mounted full time) I can throw the rtt on and move the spare underneath.

Check their site out! Lots of options.

Always better to ask forgiveness than permission...

Might need to spend a week on the couch but TOTALLY worth it in the end. You gotta think long term goals, here... :)
