This question is for anyone who is or was running a SSO low profile hybird type bumper, SOS or the Warn as there about the same. Looks like with the SSO and a Smittybuilt X2.0 I’m going to be adding about 110 lbs to the front of the truck. I am not planning on any suspension work and don’t do any real off-roading so how much is this going to affect the ride? Will I notice a big drop in the front end? Is this wise to do since I’m not doing any suspension work? As you can tell I don’t know much about vehicle suspension and how this 110lbs will affect it.

Thanks for either talking me into or out of this idea.

I installed the same bumper with no winch but I have steel front and mid skid plates, A-arm skids, 2nd battery and steel sliders. So that was probably more weight then you will have but mine was not hanging all out in front of the truck either.

The truck rode badly on the street and freeway (loss of upward travel due to loss of an inch in ride height) until I went with the BP-51's. Those gave me back the 1" I lost plus another inch in increased ride height in the front.
