LOW profile Light Bar

That's where I went. I've had the BAMF behind the grill bar for months while I contemplated the next move. Once I took the grill off, and moved the horns I got all excited. I need to play with my up/down level a bit, but my little 20" single row bar is pretty cool. Also, now that I have the BAMF bar, I can add some more stuff.

I had a Defiant bar on my 1st Gen Tundra with some PIAA's. I liked the look then, but it's dated. LED's are where it's at.

The hardest part for me was running the stupid wire into the cab. I tried around the regular harness, but ultimately found another plug and went through that. It was a rubber plug and I simply cut out the center to seal around my Rigid harness. Ultimately I see myself with a sPOD, but I need to do some more work on where the switches will live. I put the current switch inside the fuse-block door pocket. I like the stealth look.

 

N-Fab bar is nice and I like mine but I certainly understand the appeal of having it behind the grill.

That said, I personally don't like them behind the grill but I do like this set up. Nice, clean, and functional.

 

I like it there too. My problem is the license plate. I saw somebody on here that found a bracket off something like an F250 (it was something odd) that would fit the holes and then allow you to put the license plate centered on the painted part of the front bumper above that slot. Rigid makes some brackets that will allow you to put the bar right there.

 

Would it be stupid to keep it on without any lights? Act as a metal bar to protect the bumper a bit? Like a better looking bull bar?

 

It wouldn't be stupid but it wouldn't look good either JMO.

I wouldn't have left it empty.
