    Hey guys,

Last night I began experiencing what I can only really describe as a very low rumble/grind when driving in reverse up my driveway. I originally thought it may have been a rock or something caught between the cover plate and the brakes, but it didn't seem to be doing it in 1st or any of the other gears. I took it in this morning (warranty), and I thought I may have been hearing it in first gear but I wasn't sure if it was just my mind playing tricks on me. It didn't seem to affect driving at all and my roommate didn't seem to notice it unless I pointed it out but I have never experienced it previously. If anyone had any thoughts I would appreciate it, I've never had trouble with this dealership but they definitely do the dealership dance when reporting issues.

    Edit:
Truck is a 2020 with just over 30k on it and has been in for every service interval

Are you lugging the engine by any chance? The reverse is pretty tall on these trucks, so from my experience it’s not easy to reverse uphill without lugging the engine or burning the clutch. 2WD low mod solves that though.

I have the same question as @Junkhead . How steep is your driveway? Does the same thing happen if you are on flat ground and in reverse. Does the sound happen when engaging reverse or when engaging the clutch in reverse? If it is when in reverse, does the sound change when the clutch is engaged?

Well I'm currently a little embarrassed. Apparently the culprit was my skids. I went driving this weekend to check out the current state of the rivers in my area and I guess a bunch of rocks and dirt got on my skids and compressed into some corners which was causing the noise at low speeds.
