I'm not really a fan of those super shine, mirror quality tire dressings. I used to use a brand that would give a much subtler shine. Maybe a matte, or at best a "satin" type finish to the tires. I can no longer find it.

    Any recommendations?

Old brake fluid does the trick too. Just wet a rag and rub it in.

I just rub the curb or get it dirty. Looks much better that way.

I really like the Chemical Guys Silk Shine dressing. Not too much shine, just keeps the tire looking new. It also doesn’t collect dirt and dust as bad as others I’ve used.

Yup, Pledge always worked well for me. Though, my Yokahama's rubber seams untouched once I done. Weird!

Kinda pricey, I've been using Mckees 37.

    https://www.mckees37.com/tire-shine.html#

Gets lots of compliments, 1st application is a nice dark new tire look, 2nd application is a nice shine satin.

Also seems to last a good while, my Wildpeaks bloom like crazy and look brown without a weekly clean/dressing.

I’ve not used any tire dressing on mine since day 1, just the maguires car wash solution that I use to wash my truck and they still look great. I’ve found that once you start using stuff on them, you need to keep using stuff to keep them looking nice.

Marine Aerospace 303. Also actually protects the tires from UV fading and doesn’t leave a gaudy shine.

Thanks for this thread, glad I searched before starting another thread. I will try the products mentioned here and add one that I do NOT recommend!
Turtle wax tire shine foam in the green can. Don't use it! Doesn't shine for shit, leaves residue on your rims and immediately collects and holds dust/dirt.

Stoner Tire shine has worked great for me for years, and it's not water solulable, so it lasts.

I used leather cleaner/conditioner after washing. It’s what I had and I knew it dried to a non greasy satin black. I’ve tried many tire dressings and buy whatever is on sale.

You do know Brake Fluid is very caustic, especially to paint finishes? if the cast off sprays on car finish, it can, and will remove it, like paint stripper. Ski

You aren't dumping brake fluid on your tires. you are rubbing a small amount in. Nothing gets cast off.
It's a trick as old as time, if you don't feel comfortable doing it then don't but you can look it up. I didn't make it up, nor was I the first person to do it.
Personally I don't give a shit about my tires being shiny, but it's a good trick for people who don't want to waste money on tire shine.
There is absolutely no harm in doing it if done properly.
