If light is solid, it's most likely a legit low-pressure warning and probably coming from the spare since you checked the other 4 tires. Blinking light means error condition. Your sensors are quite old and are likely beginning to fail, resulting in the intermittent blinking condition that you described where it blinks for a while then goes away on its own. At some point you will get a permanent failure and the blinking will not self correct.

As said, check the spare. They only included sensors in the spare for a few years, my 07 has one. And my sensors are still working, but could go at anytime.

I don't think they are useless, I might well not be alive today to type this without them. The TPMS are not meant to replace an air pressure gauge, but to warn the driver of a sudden deflation at speed. In 2011 I was driving 75 mph on an interstate hwy when my warning light came on. I pulled over ASAP to find the right rear tire completely flat. It was flat within 30 seconds of the warning light due to a large hole in the tread probably caused by road debris. Without that few seconds warning I'd have had a tire come apart at 75 mph.

For under $90 you can buy 4 sensors every 10 years to keep the sensors working. I'll buy a set before buying the next set of tires and any tire store will install them at no cost when mounting new tires.

Under $9/year is pretty cheap insurance. And if you disable a federally mandated safety device on your vehicle and then are involved in a crash that hurts or kills someone due to a tire failure you will be paying someone for the rest of your life after the lawsuit.

Just wanted to say a huge THANK YOU for the suggestions I received here. I did indeed have that magic little button down next to the hood release, though somehow I never, ever noticed it before. As Il Capo's video above instructed, I double-checked my tire pressure for proper inflation, then held that button for a few seconds until it stopped blinking. It stayed on until I drove my truck around the block, then it went off and hasn't come on since. You guys saved me from a trip to the shop, and probably a couple of shekels too. I'm much obliged and grateful for such a great resource.
