Low trans fluid fix = better fuel mileage?

    I actually asked them to do a reset and they told me they did NOT do it, because they found the low fluid. Maybe they did actually do it?

    On another note I am consistently amazed at the wealth of knowledge around here. Very interesting stuff. And amazing to find that these transmissions could truly be that sensitive.

    i have read all the posts over the years on the tranny temp and adding fluid. i did have the dealer check my 16 about a year in. having said that at some point down the road i will check it with the temp gauge on the dash at 1/4 warm. if it is low i will add until fluid until it tops off and call it a day. a couple of ounces +or- will not make a difference. my dip stick is my finger in the fill hole.
