Wouldn't accurately checking the trans fluid level using the method outlined in Gearcruncher's excellent thread be much more PROACTIVE than attempting to go all Legal Mid-Evil on the ass of one of the largest corporations in the world?

It's got a cop motor, a 440-cubic-inch plant. It's got cop tires, cop suspension, cop shocks. It's a model made before catalytic converters so it'll run good on regular gas.
Why do none of you dolts recognize that I am doing my own due diligence by making this thread? Exactly how high are we? I'm drunk as fuck and I have no trouble making the connection.

Maybe I need to eat some shrooms to fully appreciate your position

no, it wouldnt. in fact i would advise people NOT to do that, because you would be stupidly giving the dealer an excuse as to why the level was low.

I went to the dealer multiple times for this, they checked in two times and filled two times. I called Toyota to put in a case number for this and I was awarded with an extended warranty. Now that the ECU TSBs are out most of the transmissions problems are gone. Just call Toyota and start a case, request an extended warranty to put your mind at ease. It works, trust me.

Your location says Trussville, AL. The main zip code for that area shows 35173. Toyota's site shows 8 dealerships within a 50 mile radius. I'm sure if you ask all 8 for some help and explain your issue professionally, one of them will help.

No need for all this nonsense.

OP: hi, my Tacoma is out of warranty and the tranny blew. Probably due to low fluid.

Toyota: what makes you say that?

OP: here is a stack of paperwork going back four years, documenting other people with this problem

Toyota: ok, when did you first address this with your dealer?

OP: I didn't, because that's what dolts do.

Toyota: so you've known about this issue for years, have given us proof of that, and made zero effort to rectify it? No problem at all, that'll be $10k parts and labour. Cash or VISA?

    Apologist central....

After how I was treated by corporate I wish you the best of luck. There needs to be some sort of even accountability.....we got some people getting extended warrenties and some getting laughed out of dealerships.

Down the road when rear ends and transmissions start to fail out of warrenty....long after I have sold this nightmare truck...owners will look back at threads like this.

I'm guessing exploding transmissions will be to the 3rd gens as biodegradable frames were to the 2nd and 1st gens....

Hey hey hey. Coming from a guy who paid $17k for a 2013 Golf TDI with after taxes maybe $17.5k back in November 2014 then put 60k miles on it and sold it back to VW for $22.5k I'm all about some class action lawsuits. Lol

Given that's all I've got to say on the matter. I never once griped about the pollution or anything like that as I was completely deleted of emissions equipment anyways. So I didn't care that VW cheated, but I was happy with the money.

So you do you, you get me some money awesome, but idc to help out in getting said money. Cheers.

Wow. You are a special kind of stupid.
I find it highly amusing that you admit that you are too fucking stupid to check your trans fluid, but at the same time claim to be smart enough to force a multi-billion dollar corporation into submitting to your over-inflated ego.

I guess I'm lost on why you wouldn't have it checked, before starting a thread about a class action
