    Do you remember how you diconnected the wire - I have unbolted the metal part - just unsure how to get the wire off

    Do you remember how you disconnected the wire - I have unbolted the metal part - just unsure how to get the wire off - I have a 2017 Tacoma - Thanks!

    Mostly stock with a few minor mods.
    I ended up just cutting it with a wire cutter. I couldn't figure out how to disconnect it any other way and figured I'd never put the mechanism back, so I cut the wire.
