searching around to see what everyone is using for a light bar for the lower bumper.

I’m wanting to use @CaliRaisedLed 32” light but really don’t wanna drop $290 for the set up. Anyone else running something different that’s easy install and works well?

If anyone is selling a used or new Cali led bar please let me know!

Where are you located?? I'm in San Diego just pulled off my 32" cali last night. Going to install the N-fab bar with 3 lights mounted on it to replace.

Ill sell my cali raised super cheap was just going to give it to a friend anyways but don't really want to deal with shipping and crap so hope you're local lol

Full disclosure though this light doesn't really do anything useful, my high beams still reach farther in desert conditions and although it throws a ton of light immediately in front of you by Baja Designs fog lights fill that area in anyways. Really its just good for blinding the shit out of people who are driving slow in the fast lane lol, or flashing someone thats being a dick running high beams for no reason.

For actual offroad distance lighting its just not a good location to get light far where you need it

I was thinking about purchasing the cali light bar as well, but @Jaque8 is making me think twice. Thanks for the honest opinion.....anyone else share the same thoughts?

$80 with brackets if anyone in san diego wants mine :)

Would need wiring harness as I'm re-purposing mine.

For $80 I still recommend it if only for the blinding people sometimes option lol

Sorry, I disagree. I have the same @CaliRaisedLed low bumper bar and it shoots WAY further and puts out way more light than the high beams. I am guessing you are not getting the desired results to due the desert environment?

    No light bar:

Your picture kind of illustrates my point, my high beams would not only light up that tree thats <100 yards away from you, but see there's another tree like 20 yards behind and to the right of the one you're lighting up and you can barely see it, I'd bet my high beams would actually show that tree better... I want a third picture showing your high beams on :)

If I still had mine installed I'd show what I'm talking about, but to be fair only very expensive LED bars with quality optics like BD and Rigid will shoot farther than even OEM high beams (I have Osram Nightbreakers but they're still halogen), LEDs in general aren't very good for distance unless they have well engineered optics which translates to $$$

I'm yet to see ANY <$400 light bar outshoot my halogen nightbreakers which I know will light up a target 200 yards away. Not knocking cali raised I think they're a great value for the $ and better quality than anything else in their price range. I've had my cali raised bar completely underwater and mud over a dozen times, never leaked, never had problems so its a great buy for the price range for sure.

Those are honestly very fair points. I can see what you’re talking about. I looked up some pics online and saw some differences. I think for my personal purposes, Cali is a perfect route for me to go now since I do very little off reading. Only had my taco month and half. But this is great to know for future!

I’ll will go take a picture same spot. But now there’s houses all around so I’m not sure what it’ll look like.

I do only have stock high beams.

If you think you might want amber and white lights, you may want to take a look at this one from extreme led

    https://extremeledlightbars.com/x6-...gle-row-led-light-bar-17100-lumens-combo-beam

It will fit with the caliraised brackets, but will require slight modification due to the power cable location (all you need is a saw and some basic welding skills, you may also be able to use a drill, but I didn't go with that route.)

I just looked into auxbeam. I know they are a much cheaper source for bars. But at same time my bar is not for serious off roading. I’m just getting into it. So for $94 with 4 year warranty, it may do the trick. Unless @Jaque8 confirms selling me that Cali one :p

I agree. Mine are super bright. How much light does one really need?
