lower control arm ball joint failure. help please

    Yep. Known Problem with the design. To the parts dept. with ya! get both sides while you are at it. What on earth is all that grease?

    Steering was tough and it needed it. Went a little over board though.

    Toytec coilovers. Height adjustable Bilstein's. 265/75/16 MT. TRD wheels. Rebuilt r150f. Marlin clutch kit. All kinds of new parts...
    If that was my truck I'd replace all the ball joints. Clean her up. Probably tie rod ends to. You'll feel like your driving a new truck after that mess is cleaned up. If you can do the work yourself or with some help you'll save a load of frog skins.

    x2...id change all the suspension also...looks like the coils are touching the shocks

    I think its because the control arm is hanging down like that.

    Quick clue....slatherin grease on the outsides does nothing but make a fine mess. Get some control arms with zerk fittings so you can grease them if needed.
