I hit a three-inch curb once - it suddenly appeared in the center divider as I drifted to the left. I was surprised my fillings didn't fall out. Only damage was to the front driver-side wheel bearing.

Looking into DK, but if the above is an option (Gusset kit for OEM LCA's) then I can be tempted to go that route. Anyone have info on that possibility?

Are they really though? I hope Toyota applied forethought in engineering but they often don’t

I know cars with soft aluminum arms are designed to but these are steel

Color me impressed, that's a failure I haven't seen before. I will parrot others and suggest some new OEM arms and chalk it up to a freak incident.

If you really want to go beefy without breaking the bank, you can get some old oem arms, reinforce the bottom and bushing eyelets, new bushings and new ball joints and you'll be all set. Maybe not like I did though because this acted like a shovel.....

What do you mean? Curious, as this might be the route I go. It's hard trying to stomach $1600 for LCA's.

This part here loved to hold mud. If I were to do it over I don't think I'd do it like this. I'd just reinforce the bushings since that's the most common place for them to fail and call it a day.

And I agree, at that point I'd just buy LT and not be far off from the cost of stock length UCA/LCA/coilover

I'm also being a little impatient. BTF Fabrication and Solo Motorsports I hear are both looking to bring to market a 2nd Gen LCA option. I think Solo is only about 1.5months out. I'm just want something now, but I think I'll go used OEM, and wait out the next couple months.

Plus the BTF moves the LBJ forward about an inch from what I read, which would be nice for firewall clearance, as long as that doesn't mess with geometry too much.
