Can not get this damn shock lined up to get the bolt in. The spacer is wider than the shock mount. It won't slide in. And it's super hard to press the lca any lower than it already is. What gives?!

It can be a pain in the ass but it can be done. Use a pry bar on the LCA, and I'm not sure if you can take the misalignment spacers out of the kings but if you can make sure they are in the right way.

I knew you couldn't wait to start modding your new truck!!! When you first got it, you were saying oh it's gonna be awhile before I can install any aftermarket stuff on my new Tacoma! Kings! And UCA's I bet too! Am I right? LOL! @lonzorizoBy the way that's awesome!

Unhook the sway bar, and disconnect the LCA from the knuckle. Then pry it down with a big ass pipe between the bump stop and lca

I can get the LCA low enough to line up. But the spacers are too wide. So frustrating. Maybe I need the LCA to go even lower?

Sway bar is disconnected, and UCA is removed so removing the spindle from the knuckle wouldn't make a difference. Tried disconnecting steering rod also with no difference.

Prying with a pipe wrench I can get the LCA plenty low enough. Lower than the shock bolt hole even. But the spacers are just too wide. About to pull the shock out and try and hammer on the shock mounts to widen it I guess idk.

After prying the shock mounts open wider, over and over again...And some hammering. The mounts opened up wide enough and I was able to squeeze the shock in.
Hope this helps anybody in the future!

Yeah bro couldn't resist any longer. I literally stayed up an entire night contemplating whether or not to head up to wheelers off-road and just do it. After talking with Dan back and forth I took the plunge. Extended kings (again lol) with resis, TC uca's, fox rear shocks and 3 leaf AAL. Back on the slippery slope smh

Had to bend the shit out of my passenger side. Such a pain in the ass and took so long. And scratched the shit out my new kings smh. Maybe king installed the wrong size misalignment spacers?

I would have just stopped there and called King and see what's up with the spacer instead of forcing the spherical bushing in like that and needing to bend brackets

I had some similar troubles re-installing an ICON coilover, but did not need to resort to bending anything. It was a question of disconnecting enough parts, and moving them out of the way.

Check the King installation instructions and make sure those spacers (at the lower shock mount) are installed correctly, as they are different sizes and their placement does matter.

@lonzorizo please keep us informed on what the problem is and what king says. As I'm about to install mine Saturday and any tips or pointers would be handy.

They come pre installed by King. I'll be calling them tomorrow. I was able to get them both installed. But it wasn't easy.

I don't think they're the wrong ones - more or less the same size as the ones in my ICONs. I do suspect they may be oriented backwards.

Look at the instructions for my ICONs, step 9, fig 1. Note that the longer spacer is positioned towards the front of the truck. OP's is towards the back. Different brands, so his setup may be correct for his parts, but I'd double check that.
