Are these shocks specifically for third gen Tacomas, or a second gen set that just happens to fit? I believe that on the second gens, these spacers had to be backwards (ie. longer spacer towards the rear of the truck). That could explain why they were pre-installed the way they were.

Also, why is your LCA "super hard" to press down any further? If I remember correctly, during my own install, the LCA actually dropped down by itself and I had to raise it back up w/ the OEM jack. I think you need to be disconnecting more parts.

that could be it, my icons on my 2nd gen got the bigger spacers on the front of the truck to help clear the sway bars i think. Then again it could fit either way and slid in way easier than the OPs.

2nd gen that happens to fit? 05+ is the same. Even your icons are 05+. They don't make a 3rd gen specific coilover.

LCA ended up not being the issue at all. As I posted already previously, I was able to get it plenty low enough.

The coilover is the same, but I was told the spacers go in differently between 2nd and 3rd gens.

First I've heard of this. I would have assumed that would have been something Wheelers would have told me a few days ago when I was there picking it up. Where'd you hear that?

From a shop that installs these things all day long. They had my truck in for some unrelated work and called me to point out that my spacers are on "backwards," but upon looking through ICON's instructions they realized the spacers go in differently between 2nd and 3rd gens.

Thanks for that info. I'll see what king has to say tomorrow and report back.

    Still waiting for it
Orientation would affect the geometry, but this looks flat wrong. The mount is an inch wide and he needed an inch and a quarter to get them in there...
