I am going to be getting a camper for my Taco. I will have the tailgate on with the camper sitting in the bed. I won't be able to drop the spare down the normal way with this setup. So, anybody know a way to drop the spare with the tailgate down on a 2nd gen? Thanks

You could get down under the truck and rotate that thingy with out using the extension tool. It's just a U-shaped connector. I'm not sure I'm making sense here, but if you get under the truck and look, it will make sense.

P.S. I was actually thinking of connecting a little motor to the lowering mechanism that way I can lower the spare with a push of a button. But considering the amount of times I will actually have to drop the spare, I couldn't justify to spend any money on that mod. But in your case it could be worth the effort :)
