4-5 weeks for custom springs isnt very bad at all. No wonder my back hurts with my 550lb springs lol.

I was kidding, just keeping with the thread title including the "BS about lowering"!

550 does sound a bit high alright, though you do have more weight with your extra cab and all them turbo goodies to carry around!!

I was wondering where the heck Deaver found the stock spring rates, I cant seem to find that info anywhere.. seems like "bullshit" to me! ;)

Ohh yeah, them custom Deaver springs are costing $398.60 for the pair painted, for anyone that is curious about the cost.

    No BS there!!

Well 4-5 weeks for custom springs didnt sound bad at all..

Yet sadly its almost 2 months later and Deaver still doesnt have the material to build my drop coils. :(

Is there something going on lately, the world outside of Tacomas just doesnt feel the same to me anymore!

Called Deaver and they are hopeful they can get material from their supplier soon and them springs will be whipped up in "maybe" 1-2 weeks!

    :fingerscrossed:

    Great looking truck right there!

You dont happen to make low profile bump stops do you @mjbtaco ?

..Or what do you use front and rear?

Trying to find projects while waiting for my drop springs and supercharger..

I found my speedometer reads about 5% too fast with my smaller diameter tires I am running to make room for my upcoming drop. So today I pulled out my speed sensor gear and found a 30 tooth from the factory, and ordered up a 31 tooth to hopefully get it within 1-2% of actual speed.

This should help me from hitting the 108 mph governor a bit prematurely too!

Leaked a bit of dirty looking tranny fluid in the process, so ordered up some Redline MT90 GL-4 to flush while I install the new speedo gear. Hoping for smoother shifts from my W-59 and maybe a bit quieter sound coming from the tunnel. This forum says it should be smooth as butter and feel like a whole new tranny, guess we shall see!

I dont yet. Been trying to find a set of stock bump stops for measurements but can't seem to find part numbers so I can order some. Once I do I'll draw up the pieces and have them cut for that precision fit.

Maybe give Tustin Toyota wholesale parts online a call to find these part #'s?

They have some very competitive online pricing and free shipping going on this month for orders over $50 (many dealers have this deal going on now- Promo code: FAMILY).

Found the bump stop on the site and placed an order. I'll have low pro rear bump stops soon

    Glad this helped!

Are they going to vary based on the amount of drop? Say a 2", 4" etc..

And do we not need to change the front bumps or is that a project for another day?

Let me know once you get some whipped up please!

You can use standard bolt in low pro bump stops from energy suspension for the front. The rears will all be one size. I'll know the exact amount of clearance gained once I finish a set.
