I djmd my xrunner while it was still under warranty lol

 

Main problem with dropping a second gen a bunch is the negitive camber up front

Also, my DJM should be going on tomorrow. Just need to get a 1/8th bit, greese gun, grinder and a t55 bit and rent a ball join puller from Advanced. Wish me luck

 

Quite a bit more challenging, if you want to keep the parts in "bolt-on" fashion. You know.

I still need to pick up some ICON UCA's.

 

The adjustable ICON UCA's. Since my setup is lower than the TundraRacing kit. Help correct a camber issue as well as allow me to go a tad lower without binding so badly. Your UCA's will be just fine. Might even allow you to get a tad more low depending with proper camber, if they were constructed a little longer than factory.

 

Why you going low? I thought you wanted to build a prerunner?

 

I believe they will work as well

 

Made a thread about this but thought i'd ask here, How did you guys remove the rivits that hold the stop bump stops to the frame? Trie drilling which wouldnt work for the bottom ones and a cut off wheel didnt work either. Any ideas?

aftermarket 6 lug UCA's generally help the suspension get into alignment by inducing NEGATIVE CAMBER to alleviate increasing POSITIVE CAMBER as you lift, correct?

so at stock height, the UCA's should cause the some negative camber?

so at a lowered height, where most of us are trying to reduce NEGATIVE CAMBER, you will be worsening it with the use of these aftermarket UCAs.

or I could be talking nonsense. idk. i think i make sense, no?

 

Once the ucas pass factory point, whether loering or lifting, you will get negative camber. If it goes up too far, it will still pull the top of the tire in.

 

And thus my desire for the adjustable ones.

 

why not just keep it the way it is?? Why take a 6lug suspension truck and lower it? Especially when you already have pre runner parts

 

Stage 2 of the mods, DJM 3" front, which really really needs and alignment and 2" rear cause i had issues with the notchFun measurments, 6" from the bottom of the engine brace and 8" from the bottom of the diff case

 

gtr across the road? nice. truck is lookin good, but what did you do to your bedside?

 

Nope it's my dads GTR, i had been using the garage all day to install the kit so we had to make sure it was clean of tools for it to pull in. Thanks and i had put the stockers back on but i guess wasnt used to how stockers go on and had it put on wrong so the wheel fell off and fell under the truck in a turn. on the plus side i can just replace the bedside and will end up turning the truck black, wither by wrap or plasti dip. Still need to install the 4" rear drop once i get access to a air chissle, not looking forward to trying to cut the frame with a grinder.

 

thats how i cut mine, it was a pain in the ass. the frames on these trucks are really hard, best bet is a torch, or plasma cutter. I went through 3 cutting wheels to cut my notch out.

 

Wish i had access to those kind of tools lol. Not looking forward to it lol. But it's gonna look cool imo which is all that matters. After 12 hours to do the Front arms it'll Seem like a cake walk. Funny thing about the front were we needed new lower ball joints and had to have them pressed in, so we were using the GTR as a Parts runner for a truck
