You have no idea, I will most likely get a new set if it doesn't break my bank, I might be able to sell the remaining ones on my truck for a nice sum seeing how the demand would be high.

Getting the right offset always confuses me, too. I'm pretty sure the X-Runner wheels are 18x8 with a 30mm offset... or so I've read. Then again, the X-Runner has fender flares, so perhaps their wheels can stick-out a tad more. On the TSW wheel web site, they offer wheels in a gazillion different sizes and offsets, and their web site suggests 40mm for our trucks.

I am currently looking at ones that are:

    Wheel Diameter (Inches) - 18''
    Wheel Width (Inches) - 8.5''
    PCD Bolt Pattern - 5x114.3mm
    Offset - 45mm
    Hub Bore - 73.1MM

I just need to know if there are any limitations for my 255/45 tires to fit. I guess I am a little confused do I need to stick with 8.5 or can I go bigger/smaller with my current tires?

If you go on a web site like TireRack.com and look-up the tire you have (or want), click on the "Specs" tab to see the recommended wheel width. For example, Sumitomo HTR Z II 255/45/18's can handle rims from 8" to 10" in width. Also not that if your rim is an 8.5" rim, it's really 9.5" wide (go measure it and see). I guess the width of the bead isn't included in the width measurement for some odd reason.

I've been using this tool to compare my stock tire size with whatever wheels and tires I might buy. The tool helps to see if the new tires overall diameter will be the same as stock so you'll know if your speedo will be accurate. It'll also give you some indication of how your sidewall will look with different tires and how far out or in the wheel face will be with the chosen offset.

It looks like I can use anything from a 8.5-9.5 but now I have to figure out if the offset is going to be right.

That's a bit sunk in I think I fit 20x9s +20mm offset and it tucked up front at stock height the more positive the wheel offset the more the wheel sits inside

Xrunner wheels are 18x8 +30 and they do not poke outside on a base model truck that doesn't have flares they are actually perfect I'd honestly say if you wanna run 8.5 go with anything between +20 to +35 just to be safe you can start to rub inside and not be able to clear 3 inch blocks

When I had 20x10 +35 it tucked but I wouldn't be able to do 4 inch blocks cuz it would rub the shock plate
However I did compare that to what u are currently looking at and a 18x8.5 +45 will sit LESS inside than my 20x10 giving u more clearance however it will be by 9mm which is .35" also take into consideration your rim is smaller than a 20 and can still hit on a 3 inch block so I'd say to be safe don't go more that +35 on a 8.5 you should be fine running a 255/45/18 no stretch al all the tire is lil over 10" wide

My rims I ordered are 18x9.5 +22 which I believe will be flush to the rear fender maybe a lil out by 2mm which is why I am going with a small stretch to keep the tire tucked inside the fender

If u ran a 8.5 in same offset u be able to tuck em no problems at all

Just my 2 cents I've been studying offsets for awhile to make sure I pick the perfect rim:D

Correct the width of the rim is determine between the beads not including I've been fooled by that before every rim should have the measurements stamped on the inside should at least

That link is a good link it helps big time

I personally used this one Though vague it allowed me to see with a stretch but I wish the link u did offered that same feature it's so friggin detailed

By "shock plate", are you referring to the metal plate that the blocks and shocks mount to? I.e., the plate that the u-bolts connect to in this pic:

    IMG_20120506_154629_d5dc2fb26aa78192fd44be8360022e7796da4803.jpg

I guess I never gave much thought to the wheels hitting that plate if the wheels are too wide and the offset is wrong.

Yes well more so the bottom shock bolt was sat inside my rear wheel do to it being positive and being 10" wide but 8.5" on +45 isn as deep inside as wheat I had however it doesnt hurt to have less offset the wheel won't poke and it will have more clearance inside

Offset of wheels is confusing to me to took me awhile to actually understand it

Alright so after going to a couple wheel and tire shops and seeing what they have to say, I will probably be going with 18" 8.5 with a 35mm offset in matte black, seeing how the ones I have before were a 30mm offset, it will only be bout a 2.5mm difference on either side plus it should be safe to drop in the future if I am not mistaken

Discount Tire is gonna actually see if they can order the VarrStoen wheels for me so I save a lil money through their vendor discount. If not, I will just order them through A-Spec wheels. Kudos to them for trying to help a guy out though.
