Yeah... well that's where I'm getting confused. I thought the OEM X-Runner wheels were 18x8 with a 30 mm offset, but as your pictures show, they look a tad "pushed in", even thought they have the same width as my wheels but a bigger offset. I'll have to see what happens when I get tires on 'em. Maybe one manufacturer's offset isn't always consistant with another? I hope they don't stick out 'cause I sure don't want to burn rubber  Hmm... debating on whether to post pics or keep them a secret until my truck gets lowered. Decisions, decisions... :D

    Check out my build:)
well actually because my front is maxed out on the camber the front wheel actually sunk in like an inch so that why it looks so sunk in but the rear looks almost flush no poking it is just the tire size that really makes the poke or note a 255/45/18 is 10" wide
IMO i don't like the 255/45/18 it looks meaty on my truck prolly cuz of the height and doesn't really fit my taste thats why i went with a 225/45/18 which is a lil smaller I could have home with 245/40/18 but i wanted to have some stretch for a hellaflush look so i went with 225/45/18 on 18x9.5 +22mm the back may have the rim poke just a hair and the tire will tuck and in the front i may run a small space rot mach the rear I'm gonna be rolling fenders though!!
i say 245/40/19 :) on them bad boys!!

post them picture you know you wanna show it off hahahah

Anyone have an idea how much my trucks worth? With the wheels, Kenwood kdc-x597, viper alarm, power locks and the djm 3/4 fogs bed cover and the fender fixed.

OK... another teaser wheel pic :D

The picture shows the offset of my new wheels (40mm). It sure is hard to get a side shot that shows the offset! Granted, the fact that the other tire is on the ground might be making the wheel look like it sticks-out a lot... maybe it won't look that way when the truck is actually sitting on the ground.

I got tires on 'em yesterday, but they're not going on the truck until it gets lowered. The tires are Nitto 245/40/19s. As Ryan J. stated in another post, a huge disadvantage of 19's is that there aren't many cheap tire options :(

Yes, there's a country mile between the fender and the wheel right now. I'm still waiting on my 3" Beefed blocks and notch. Hopefully, the notch is going to get done next week.

And today's new toy... LED tail lights :D The're the "Depo" lights from eBay for $137 (less than 1/2 the OEM LED light cost). Overall, I'm impressed. The quality appears identical to OEM and I like it that they look like the OEM LED lights, only blacker ;)

They are very similar to my Anzo tails, just no chrome, but I did not have this option back then, let me know if they leak!

If any of you run the U bolts that come with the DJM kit, buy plated ubolts and get rid f those. i ran them for 5 months untill today where one was rusted so bad it sheered when i was trying to replace the blocks. So dont plan on removing them unless you have replacements ready

    1. bouncing through turns just makes things more fun. live axles and leafs springs just make things more interesting. And oversteer-y. but my truck really doesn't bounce through turns for the most part.
    2. $5K is about the minimum you will spend on FI. Unless you spend much, much more there will be no "dramatic" increase in power. Just enough to not be slow.
    3. Aerodynamically these trucks have the drag coefficient of a small bus. so going 150+ is just stupid anyway. You will probably die.
    4. These engines are pretty stout. Good for boooooooost liddat.
    5. You forgot about how much torque these motors can put out as well. If your boost setup is correct, it can make use of that low end power and gearing.
    6. Stop crushing my dreams :(

LOL! Sorry! However, if fast is what you want, might I suggest your dream will be much more fruitful if you start dreaming along these lines...

(That'd be the logo on the fender of a Scion FRS :p )

On a more Lowered B.S. topic, my truck is in the hospital getting a custom notch put in the frame. I'm trying not to be freaked-out as my truck goes under the knife. The guy who is doing the work has been in the auto body business for over 30 years but has never done a notch before, so I'm a tad nervous -> Finding anyone in the area to do a notch was darn near impossible... no one wanted to cut into the frame on a brand new truck.

Assuming the notch thing goes well, I'm still waiting for my Beefed Taco (StreeTacos) blocks that I ordered several weeks ago :( I'm not starting to get really concerned about how long it's taking to get the blocks.

I intend to have the license plate holes *deleted* when I get my bumpers painted and I'll be looking to fabricate some kind of holder as well. I don't think mine will be quite as fancy as yours though ;) I'm imagining some kind of L-shaped brackets so that the plate hangs below the main part of the bumper.
