Nice trucks torspd! I don't know what everyone gets all flustered over a 4x4 lowered. Its all what people like. I know this forum is mostly for off roaders but there is room for everyone. As long as its done right it doesn't bother me. The only thing that bothers me is when people sky jack their trucks or body lifts, or ultimate mall crawlers. One thing that really gets me is when people dumb shit loads of money on those shit Dodge neons.

If I had money I would have both a lowered and lifted tacoma. Because they are just that great. Looking good in every position

    Amen brother!

I actually miss off roading A LOT! It is a part of my soul. Mine used to have a ProComp 6" lift. Got it when it was right out of developement.

It just wasn't good for the power I was making. Function>Form, a change was necessary.

When this is finished, I will again have a lifted off road rig.

Truck looks freaking sweet man. Considering that most people buy a 4x4 to simply keep from getting "stuck" and don't actually intend to off-road hardcore this build makes a lot of sense. I'd take this over an x-runner any day. (especially snow days  )

The only thing it's really lacking is a couple turbos....

Another member on xru is really good with the camera. Had me meet him out there at just the right time. He was very frantic about getting the sunlight just right.

OP great looking truck. I am making serious considerations to go this route with my Tacoma. Your truck and Torspd's have absolutely sold me on the idea. Great work man. Since I'll be SAS my 4x4 p/u I figured it would nice to have a clean street truck that isn't slammed/lowered like a five lug.

@Torspd, in your opinion, do you think I will be able to keep my front/rear aftermarket suspension with this kit? If I ran a setup like yours (only rear end kit, and keep the adjustable coils up front) would I be able to use the 2.5 Icon shocks I have in the back?

Not sure yet, is it the tires/wheels with the lift that doesn't go imo.
I will get back on this.

As far as I know, yes. I have talked with King Racing Shocks, about using their OE Replacement, adjustable coilovers. Since they handle stock ride height to +3", we figured that swapping out the spring that it normally comes with, with a 12" tall spring, would d othe trick just fine.

If your Icon Coilovers are an OE replacement, and not for say a 6" lift, then yes, they will work. You would just need to get a 600ppi x 12" tall x 3" diameter spring, then adjust to proper taste.

Or leave the spring alone and relocate the upper coilover mounting perch. ;)

wait did you just say trophy trucks have a "lowered" stance? they have glass, big tires, and 2 1/2 ft of suspension travel. how is that lowered. of course they dont lift them, they we made to go fast in the desert, not crawl over obstacles. here is your logic... hmmm, trophy trucks look lowered and they perform very well, there for all lowered trucks must perform well. im seeing some inconsistencies.
