Very nice! What you said is basically what I'm looking for. I just want my truck to sit a little lower and be able to take a corner without as much body roll.

I ran a set of custom coil overs up front on my frontier. I think you could do a set of fox stock replacement coil overs with a 10 inch spring in the 700 inch pound range. My frontier had 800s and they were just a little harsh for everyday use.

Trucks by design aren't meant to take corner's like a car would. My stock truck takes every corner at the speed limit just as I would expect. Even through Montana at 85 it's just like I wanted. If I feel out of control, it's because I'm going too fast. Not because the vehicle isn't designed right.

My son is into lowered trucks with hydros. Bed has 4 pumps and 12 batteries. He took me for a ride in it a few times...beats you to death, but you get a lot of looks driving down the road with one of the front tires a foot off the ground.

I put 2" lowering blocks on the back of my last Dakota, just to level it out.

I was just saying what I've read other places.

The 3.4 goes in the best gen, so that's all there is to say about that.

    "Best gen"
    :jerkoff:
I don't hate any gen each one has issues, but which one is "best" is purely subjective.

Lowering a vehicle always brings out its design and aesthetic qualities. The 3rd Gen. Tacoma (as well as the Gen. 1 & 2) already has a beautiful design/body and this just massively accentuates it. Yes, the fender flares do accentuate the look further.... I absolutely dig it even though I would generally prefer to raise a truck than lower it.

To top off such an approach, imagine dropping a heavily modified 2JZ-GTE Inline-6 Twin-Turbo engine from the 4th Gen. Toyota Supra RZ (mated to a 6-Spd M/T of course), and carrying out all of the chassis, suspension, brake and running gear modifications necessary to make the vehicle perform well.

    Wet dream territory.

You can, Most of us just rise above and choose not to because it's completely unproductive. In the end this is it Tacoma forum. Not a first Gen., 2nd Gen. or 3rd Gen. Forum :notsure:

Hating on each other because we drive/ like different generations of the same truck Is like high school crap...

Easiest I think is to use smaller diameter tires. Perhaps 27-28" as on the old 5 lug trucks.
