On 3rd gen models with the sunroof option there is about 2” less headroom so my 6’2” frame touches under a few different conditions.

    A. Gelled up hair going to something “fancy”
    B. Beanie or hat on
    C. Sun glasses on top of head
    D. Air out the truck through an intersection near my house if the light is green and going the speed limit of course.

Has anyone else attempted to safely lower the front seat? On my 2nd gen I actually raised the back of the seat via grade 10.9 hardware for a more comfortable position but I have a feeling lowering it will be more difficult.

Seat height is more influenced by the cushion more so than the brackets. I think your best bet would to call up a local shop that does interior work and have them change the seat cushion so it's not as thick. Or look into getting a racing/touring seat.

When I sat in the 2018 with moonroof it seemed much lower... now I know by how much. I'm only 5'7" so not a big deal for me. I can see it being uncomfortable for taller people.
