My wife is short and needs a step up into my SR5. I have the factory 5-In. Oval Tube Steps, but they are mounted so close to the body they are too high a step for her. Has anyone lowered them on a 3rd Gen? If so, how was it done?

This was not a problem on my previous truck (2007 Tundra) as the steps did not mount as close to the body/frame.

    Thanks

If using them for actual steps is your priority....I would replace them with some tube steps. It would be easier in the end.

    Mine are N-Fab
