How can you lower a 6 lug 6" that barely even has 6" wheel travel stock. Do you just set the thing on the bumpstops?

I have the SOS kit. It uses a strut lowering sleeve to relocate the strut springs lower on the strut. This is the opposite of how you lift them- the Bilsteins have rings that you relocate the spring upward on the shock. You HAVE to install low profile bumpstops when you use this kit because it will literally sit on the factory bumpstops. It aligns just fine, but the geometry is all out of whack and the bump steer is pretty bad. Not to mention it bottoms out on the bumpstops a lot. I even got new front springs to try to reduce the bottoming out. Overall I would definitely not do it again, because it's really only for a look. I would change mine back but I threw away the factory rear stuff when I did the flip kit.

I really want a 5 lug, but they don't have a double cab. And I'm unwilling to do the work to swap to 5 lug frame.

I always thought it would be neat to have a dbl. cab put on a 5 lug frame, lowered or not and thought it would be a nice looking practical DD. Never understood the whole Prerunner move just to get 4 doors. Was that a Hilux config necessity?

    Weird flex, but ok.

JK I'm actually pretty jelly. Did you stretch an ecab frame?

Was the eCab you got the frame from also a V6? I know they put a V6 in the e cabs back in like 96. Would make the swap easier. I would seriously consider doing this some day.

Finding a 6 cyl. 5 lug extended cab frame (in good shape) may take a whole lot longer than changing mounts. You're kind of looking for an S Runner.
