Now that my daughter is getting older, I'm ready to ditch the step bars and switch to sliders. I want a low profile tucked in close slider versus one that juts out. I know this is a debatable topic when it comes to protection and deflecting, but honestly I do very minimal crawling so this is not a huge concern. I want the added protection of the sliders over nothing but still want them to hug close. The CaliRaised look nice as well as the RSGs, but I'm curious what others think.

Pretty sure Caliraised makes a set that sits close to the body.

I like my RCIs honestly. I have the 5 degree ones and they’ve saved me from some body damage from a minivan t-boning me; they hit the slider and saved my doors. Something like cali raised 25degree although sit nice and close wouldn’t have saved me there. Just a thought. image.jpgAll that paint scuffed is from the minivan.

I've narrowed it down to either Caliraised 25* Trail Edition or the RCI 20* sliders. I think both are great companies so I have no problem supporting either one. As far as aesthetics, it looks like the Caliraised are tucked a little bit closer to the body of the truck with the increased angle as well as they don't poke out to the side as much as RCIs. The RCIs are solid though and look very similar. Both have DOM tubing which is nice and both are constructed very well with a 4-leg design. At this point it's almost a flip of the coin.
