curious why that's a requirement. Having doubts about fitting into a garage?

The slimline 2 is not low profile at all. I have it and came from a prinsu.

I would say prinsu is the lowest. A competitive low profile one is either the caliraised or the new Front Runner slim sport.

Thanks for the info. I have been looking at Prinsu and RCI so far and the two look similar

fyi, the lowest profile you want is one that sits level with the shark fin unless you want to mod the shark fin. Off the top of my head I know the prinsu, martin OR does this. I have the martin OR. I am not knowledgeable of others, but I am sure there are others as well

RCI sits right on top of the sharkfin. The thickness of the material itself is how much it sits proud.

Are you referring to the blocks where they come into contact with the paint in the gutters? I haven't checked, and I'm not pulling the rack off to do so.
The rack otherwise does not contact anywhere except for the fairing, and I have Suntek PPE there.

Thanks. I'll probably go with RCI. I bought they're skids and cat guards and am really happy with those

I did a lot of research on this and went with the westcott roof rack. The fairing is the cleanest and almost no road noise.
